Botanical Artwork Workshops

Weekend workshops are being offered by local artist Jeanne Debons at her Southeast Bend studio to learn the techniques of botanical illustration in watercolor.

This is an opportunity to learn the techniques required to capture flowers and other natural subjects in a series of straight forward steps.  Necessary supplies will be made available to beginning students. 

Jeanne Debons earned her PhD from the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University in 1986, and subsequently has studied botanical painting on her own and at the London School of Gardening receiving a diploma as a Botanical Illustrator in 2005.  More samples of her work can be seen at a website she shares with her colleagues at Amicus Botanicus, an international group of botanical painters.
